Goodbye From Girl Mandy Charters
Hello Ladies, Gentlemen, Customers &! Friends; it is with deep regret that I have to announce
that I will be hanging the boat keys up and retiring due to health problems. A couple of years ago I suggested my son to take
over the business, he knew the ins and outs of it and the customers and regulars, but he didn't want to for many reasons none
of which were that he did not love the boat.
When he left in July 2019 and moved to Suffolk it put me is quite a bind
for the following couple of months, because our winch had packed up and I had to do most of the work on top of the Annual
with painting of the boat and general maintenance, I only had my wife and my daughter helping me,
also at the same time there was a major mooring gear renewal that had to be done. By November 2019 I had severe pains in my
right thigh; long story short in January 2020 we had the results back and both hip joints are finished.
After the 3 month lay up for winter we did go back for a few good trips but then the Corona virus shut the whole Charter
industry down overnight. But in that short period my problems had gotten much worse. So it is with a sad heart I have to
announce I am packing it all in.
I want to say many thank you to all my loyal parties and fishing friends we had a lot of fun, and I hope we were able
to teach you a thing or two. I realise that I have nothing to apologise for, but I Just cannot go on. One thing about fishing
is that the people are the most friendly and I have met some of the best. I did try to work on so as not to let my faithful
customers down, but my health wont allow it, therefore with great sadness, the boat is being sold.
I hope you all
keep well and maybe we will meet again until then, tight lines fair winds and a safe life.
Regards from Trevor and my good crewman Kev who I will really miss.
